About 30 kilometers south of Lisbon, Arrábida is undoubtedly a must-visit place for all nature and the good life lovers.
On this fantastic tour, in addition to visiting and enjoying all this natural park, in the comfort of an electric bicycle, you’ll also have the opportunity to visit one of the most famous Portuguese wine producers - José Maria da Fonseca - and there to taste some of their wines.
Our tour starts in the small Azeitão village, located at the foot of the Arrábida Montain, famous for the production of many good wines, olive oil, delicious cheeses and sweet pies.
The first stop of our tour will be precisely at José Maria da Fonseca company, where we’ll visit the caves.
After this visit and the wine tasting, which will give us increased energy, we’ll cross the village and will start explor the Arrábida Natural Park.
Surrounded by the green of the flora and the sound of birds, in a very relaxed way, we’ll start the climb to the top of Arrábida mountain, where a road with absolutely amazing landscapes waits for us.
On this road, in addition to a huge expanse of the Atlantic Ocean, we’ll see Lisbon and Setúbal, the Portuguese Sunny Coast (Cascais and Estoril), the beaches of Comporta, as well as the Sintra mountains and the Troia peninsula.
We’ll also discover what was for many years a place of meditation, reflection and prayer for hundreds of religious - the impressive Arrábida Convent.
After passing through this iconic place, we’ll do downhill till the sea, where we’ll visit some of the most beautiful Portuguese beaches, covered with very white sand and very transparent water, fantastic for diving lovers.
Here we’ll do the last stop of our tour, to recover the energies spent through a refreshing dip in the Atlantic waters, to swim a little, to have lunch (great fresh fish restaurant) or to have a picnic.
Designed for cyclists with a medium skills level, this bike tour is a fantastic way to discover this paradise, an authentic nature treasure.
