Balu, is a mix of Husky and Malamute and due to the characteristics of these breeds it’s a dog that likes to walk, to run and that has an enormous resistance. In addition, Balu is a very friendly and responsible dog.
I remember, when he was very young and saw me leave the house, he always wanted to come with me and the bicycle. At that time, I started taking small tours with him and I was impressed with the way he behaved and with the happiness he showed.
I was doing more and more tours with him and very quickly it became a great help in some of my bike tours.
Currently, Balu is a fantastic guide, he does almost anything during a bike tour.
He can go ahead of the group to indicate the way, because he knows the routes, but he can also go in the last place, so that nobody stays behind and when we take a break during the tour, to see something, to take pictures or to have a coffee, he has another function, taking care of the bicycles.
Added to these qualities is the fact that he loves children, so when there is a child in the group Balu still has an even more important function, he helps children to feel better and have more fun.
For all these reasons, especially in winter, Balu comes with me often.
There is only one thing he doesn't like very much. I don't know why, but he hates being in the photos.
Today we took a tour alone and I tried to make him have a different task, I tried to make him a top model.
