Lisbon City Center to Belém Bike Tour – Good News.

We are very happy to inform you that we have good news about one of the most popular bike tours in Lisbon, the Free Bike tour “Center of Lisbon to Belém”.

This tour has become very popular for several reasons, we highlight 7:

1 - Due to the large area of Lisbon City that we travel through - during this journey of about 25 km we pass through the center of Lisbon, under the imposing bridge over the Tagus River and visit the historic area of Belém, where some of the most important monuments in Portugal, such as the Belém Tower, the Jerónimos Monastery, the Discoveries Monument and the official residence of the President of Portugal;

2 – Because, in addition to passing by all these monuments, where we make short stops to explain their importance and their history, we also pass by less conventional places (LX Factory and Pink Street) and see works by some of the best Portuguese street artists (Joana Vasconcelos, Vhills and Bordalo II);

3 – On this tour everyone has the chance to taste, without having to wait in line, the most famous pastries in Portugal – Pastel de Belém;

4 – Because this route is done almost entirely on cycle paths and roads with little traffic, which makes it very safe and peaceful;

5 – The landscapes we pass through, with the Tagus River on one side and the city on the other, are absolutely wonderful, 5-star spots for great photos, movies and reels;

6Our guides love the work they do, that's why they talk about Lisbon with a lot of love, they always manage to promote a good atmosphere and fun moments.

7 – As it is free, the guides on this tour are all volunteers, so the customer only pays what they can and what they think is fair.

We know that these factors are decisive for the Free Bike Tour between the Center of Lisbon and Belém to be considered by many people one of the best experiences that you can have in Lisbon, but we always want to improve and provide more and more pleasant experiences, for that reason we are happy to announce .....

5 NEWS:

1We have changed our meeting point, for that reason, our tour no longer has climbs, currently we only cycle on flat terrain;

2 – With the change of our meeting point, now we also pass through the oldest and most traditional neighborhood in Lisbon, Alfama;

3Comércio Square, the most important square in Lisbon and one of the most beautiful in Europe, is now a must-see;

4 - The wonderful garden in front of the Jerónimos Monastery, in Praça do Império, after being closed for a long time for refurbishment works, has reopened and is an absolutely wonderful spot.

5Next to our meeting point, the same one where all the tours end, there are several traditional restaurants, where you can eat local food, drink good wine and at very friendly prices, something very important at the end of the tours. For all these reasons, if you are thinking of visiting Lisbon this year, make your booking now.

Great way to spend a few hours.

A wonderful way to see the city and many sites I wouldn't have otherwise. Bikes were in excellent condition and I tried an electric bike, which made what was already an easy, flat ride even easier. Hugo was an excellent guide and a highlight was when he skipped the line and got us fresh pasteis de Belem!

I would highly highly recommend this tour.

I would highly highly recommend this tour as the first thing you do when coming to Lisbon. Waking tours are nice, but this one covers much more of Lisbon so you get a much better feel for it before deciding where to go and what else to do. Miguel is a very knowledgeable local and knows all the great neighborhoods and hot spots as well as their history. It's a free bike tour but you do pay a small amount to rent the bike which is a very low price considering the amount of time and distance covered. Electric bikes are available but the classic is fine since it's all flat terrain (except for one bridge which has a slight elevation but is not too difficult). This was one of the best things I did in Lisbon. My only regret is not doing it on the first day. It was a beautiful relaxing ride to Belem Tower, and the weather was perfect! I'd consider giving Miguel a nice tip since this 4-hour Belem Tower bike tour, in my opinion, is well worth it!

Do this tour!

Great for families with confident bike riding kids. Really so much fun suite knowledgeable hosta who LOVES the guiding job. Ride was active, often along the waterfront up close to big sights. And not too short! Maybe 5’4-5 hours but it went quickly! Bri g a windbreaker or fleece, pack water, eat a light breakfast and there’s possibilities of washrooms and water or juice bebida’s on the route. Great intro to Lisbon, and Miguel very warm, very safe, trilingual (or 4 languages?) and super nice. Electric bike a breeze!

Best Bike Tour.

Great tour with Miguel yesterday. Covered a huge amount in a friendly and knowledgeable
way. Perfect for any fitness level as mainly on the flat. This is our 5th bike tour in Europe and
the best to date. Many thanks
