Madrid by Bike.

Madrid is a wonderful city, a city that won me over many years ago.

It mixes the modern with the old with great harmony. It mixes huge and wide avenues, the Castellana, where modern architecture is very visible, with the small and narrow streets located around the wonderful Plaza Mayor, built initially in the 15th century and remodeled in the 17th century.

The capital of Spain has a great cultural offer. There are many monuments and museums to visit, such as Prado, Wax Museum, the largest Royal Palace in Europe (built in 1738, with 135,000 square meters and 4138 rooms) and the wonderful Almudena Cathedral, but there are always new ones exhibitions and shows.

For those who like to shop, this city has great offers and good prices.

Obviously, there are those who choose more chic and more expensive stores, but we can choose to shop at the big stores, alternative stores or even at Rastro Street Market.

Alongside this, there is something that fascinates me even more - MADRID'S LIFE.

The way people live Madrid is very intense. The shops, streets, tapas houses, restaurants, bars, clubs, always full are fascinating. Here people have fun and enjoy life.

It's “LA FIESTA”, “LA MOVIDA” and the famous expression “MADRID ME MATA”.

The last time I visited Madrid was in 2016, 4 years ago, to see a football match, it was a short visit, just 2 days. One of the days was to see the game, the other, because I wanted to see a little of the whole city, I took a bike tour.

I took this ride - Best of Madrid - before I started thinking and organizing cycling tours in Lisbon, but I must say that I never forgot the way it was organized and that it gave me the possibility to cross a large part of the city center in very little time.

A few days ago, when I started thinking about making these posts - “World by Bike” - I looked for this agency on the net and I found it. For that reason, my advice is - when you are planning your trip to Madrid, take advantage and book one of these tours.
